It's Woman crush Wednesday, and a certain awkward black girl who can be sometimes - well insecure - is catching my eye. This week's Woman Crush Wednesday goes too Issa Rae of HBO's Insecure. Issa Rae is an American actress, writer, director, producer and web series creator. Issa Rae started making noise with her Awkward Black Girl series on YouTube and it soon was picked up for TV as Insecure. The series follows the life of a young black woman, Issa Dee (a loosely based version of Issa Rae), trying to make it in the world and dealing with all the obstacles life throws at her. Insecure season 1 released in October 2016 and received great reviews. Soon after the season 1 finale a season 2 was announced which is great because we need answers after it ended with Issa's boyfriend, Lawrence, BONING TASHA THE BANK TELLER. Season 2 premiered Sunday July 23 and it is as great as ever, this season will answer many questions and allow us to see Issa Dee (Issa Rae) grow.

Issa Rae is definitely living her best life as she lives out her dreams, I mean who wouldn't want to be like Issa when they grow up. Issa tweeted a while back how doing what she loves changed her in a positive way and it's what I personally long for:

Issa's success has led to great opportunities from attending her first ever BET Awards Show to covering Complex magazine.
