Raven's Home: Raven Returns to Disney with a New Spinoff

The wait is officially over, tonight the spinoff of the hit series That'sSo RavenRaven's Home premieres on Disney Channel.

I got an exclusive look at the premiere and I was pleased. Not too many spinoffs do the originals justice but Raven's Homeis the exception.

Raven's Home takes a time jump into the future, where Raven and her best friend Chelsea are both divorced mom's, raising their children together in a Chicago apartment. Raven has twins, a boy & a girl, Booker (played by Issac Ryan Brown) & Nia. Chelsea has a son named Levi. Though we don't see the father of Raven's children right away, the show has confirmed it is the longtime high school romantic interest Devon. A gem that That's So Raven fans will surely love (I sure do).

All great Disney shows have the element of a secret, and Raven's Home sticks to this. The only critique that I have, is I found it slightly annoying that Raven's children don't know she's psychic & she just chalks it up to mother's intuition. Of course the twins become of age and Booker inherits the psychic gift, but ultimately doesn't tell Raven. This makes for classic That's So Raven style mischief that is purely entertaining. The pilot episode of Raven's Home was nostalgic and proves it will go down as one of Disney Channel's best spinoffs. Tune in tonight for the world wide premiere of Raven's Homeon Disney Channel after the Descendants 2 cinematic premiere event.
