The music video draws from her roots and musical influence growing up. The video starts with a young Normani rushing to the TV to watch 106 & Park on BET. As the 106 & Park hosts introduce the record-breaking video, we see Normani's "Motivation" start to play. The next scene is nostalgic to Beyoncé's "Crazy in Love," with the iconic white beater and denim bottoms.

Normani then continues to pay homage to other 2000s iconic moments such as Ciara's Goodies, JLo's I'm Real, and many more. She adds her style showing how the influence molds whom she is today and the music she wants to make — her "Motivation." In less than 24 hours, the music video has been viewed more than 1.3 million times on YouTube.
