Clear: Summer Walker releases New EP
Summer Walker is a rising artist from Atlanta that has captured the public’s attention, with her sultry raw talent.
On Friday, January 25th the young songstress released a new project CLEAR. This EP features live recordings of 4 new songs by Summer Walker. “Riot” is a broken down ballad of “Girls Need Love”, as Summer explains the type of love she needs, a riot not a routine love. “Grave” is a refreshing approach to essentially telling a man that when he approaches her if he really wants her honestly he can put it on her grave (swear on it). With many platonic encounters the intentions are not intended to exceed sexual, “Grave” addresses this as dudes thinking it’s a joke. “Wasted” says it all with this song title, this track discusses the intoxication of not just the standard liquor or drugs but the time spent with someone. “Settling” deals with the battle of wanting to leave someone or to stay, and ultimately settling for what the situation is. However, still in the back of her mind wondering what will she do when she is truly fed up.
This was not your simple EP project, CLEAR is a full fledged audio-visual album accompanied by music videos for each respective track.
Summer Walker is on the rise as she is Apple Music’s first ‘Up Next’ Artist of 2019.
CLEAR is available on all streaming platforms.
