Drake Addresses Black Face Photo
A whole 24 hours have gone by, and Drake has yet to respond to Pusha T's "The Story of Adidon." However, Drizzy took to his Instagram story to briefly (and do mean very brief) address the Black Face photo that surfaced as the photo used for Pusha T's latest lyrical attack.
The history of Black Face and its negative connotations makes it hard to look past this transgression. I feel Drake deserves the scrutiny he is getting because for someone who grew up in the entertainment industry he should've been more transparent about the photo. While on the other hand, if you are going to start making habits of beefing with other rappers be prepared for all secrets to be used as possible ammunition.
What do you think about the Black Face? Does the same rule of the N-word apply; is up to black people to have the right reclaim it and use it how they please? Let me know your input, and check out Drake's statement below.
