On July 28, 2017, the debut album  Good For You of the fun artistic "Caroline" singer/rapper Aminé released and I am pleased.

Aminé, born Adam Aminé Daniel - the son of Ethiopian immigrants, is an American singer/rapper from Portland, OR. Aminé was blazing the underground scene with mix tapes and diss tracks (for rival high schools) since 2014 and soon became a breakout mainstream artist with the very catchy viral hit "Caroline". Aminé has also been featured on this year's XXL Freshman class of Hip Hop artists to watch. 

Aminé's music is very creative as it incorporates catchy beats and bars that flow like the deep sea of Bikini Bottom (yes the home of everybody's favorite talking sponge). Throw in Aminé's beautiful vocals and you have a true hit. Aminé's music is very real and honest despite being "catchy", he raps with no shame and says whatever he wants as one can see with every song on the Good For You debut album. Aminé is very refreshing and gives a vibe that you can't really compare to anyone else. Though many, including Aminé himself, have claimed there is influence by the veteran rapper André 3000. Which I can actually see and appreciate, I think it's time we allow these new artists to shine for what truly matters -- the music.

Good For Youfeatures collabs with artists such as Ty Dolla $ign, Nelly, Offset, Charlie Wilson, and Kehlani. The album makes references to pop culture with lyrics in various songs on Good For Youeven the recent Disney movie Moana:
